Volunteer Opportunities
During the Week
Not all volunteer positions take place on Sunday.There are several opportunities that exist throughout the week and can work around your schedule.
Room Prep & Set – Volunteers oversee the prep & set up for Sunday services in one classroom each week.These volunteer positions take between 1 to 2 hours weekly.Volunteers are given checklist & materials to get ready for Sunday.This volunteer assignment can be done Monday-Thursday.Times vary but evening hours are available.
Weekday Office Assistance – Volunteers who help with office work come in during the workday and make copies, copy DVDs, and prepare checklist for Prep & Set Volunteers.
Website Contributor - Works with the director on the writing, developing, and use of the Kid’s ROCK website
Database/Follow-Up Volunteer - Work with director in the development and maintenance of follow-up procedures, first time visitor retention, & database maintenance
Sunday Volunteers
Team Leader - Work with director to oversee, train and recruit volunteers for specific teams/classes
Room Leader - Leads a particular classroom during a specific service
Assistants - Assist Room Leader in the specific classroom and serves in Room Leaders place when they are absent.
Small Group Leader - Leads a group of 8-10 kids on a Sunday morning.Teach the lesson, connect and follow up with them during the week
Large Group Leader – Leads a large group through worship and lesson.
Worship Team Leader – Works with Creative Arts Director & Kid’s ROCK Director to develop, plan and train worship team for Kid’s ROCK
Worship Team Member – Attends practice, and comes prepared on Sunday’s to help lead Kid’s ROCK worship
Tech Team Leader – Works with Kid’s ROCK Director and Media Director in the oversight, development and training of tech team members for Kid’s ROCK.
Tech Team Member – Runs lights and sound for Club ROCK
Check-In Attendants -Utilizes computer based check-in, administrative duties, and runner during service
Greeters- Be available in the lobby before service to greet families as they arrive, show new families the check-in process, and walk them to the appropriate rooms. Greeters can also serve as checkpoint volunteer in hallway for during a service to greet families as they enter Kid’s ROCK.
Kid’s ROCK Buddy-Shadows a child with special needs and helps them participate in Kid’s ROCK.
Substitutes – Available to serve in as assistant in any area that is needed on the day they are assigned
